What drywall hole repair really involves
We repair drywall holes from a few inches up to full-panel replacements — doorknob dings that punched through, furniture-move damage, appliance impacts, TV mount pull-outs, plumber and electrician access cuts, and holes left when kids' hockey sticks or foosball tables get too close to a wall. Every one gets the same layered approach.
Small holes (under 4") get a California patch — a piece of drywall with the paper flap intact — glued in and then three-coat mudded. Medium holes get a proper backing installed inside the wall so the patch isn't just floating on tape. Larger holes get cut back to a stud on each side, a new piece scabbed in with backing, then taped, mudded and finished.
Finishing helps blend the repair with the surrounding surface. We match knockdown, orange peel, hand texture or smooth on scrap first, then blend the texture past the patch edge before priming and painting corner-to-corner or feathering the paint out on a break to blend the repaired area.

Frequently asked questions
Can you fix a hole in the wall in one visit?
Small holes are usually one visit for demo, patch and first coat, then a second short visit the next day for finish sanding, texture and paint (mud has to dry). Very small dings can sometimes be single-visit.
Will the patch be visible?
Texture is tested and blended past the patch edge, with feathered or full-wall paint as appropriate. Existing texture, paint and lighting affect the final appearance.
Do you paint after the repair?
